2 weeks left at work, 8 weeks till baby arrives (Hopefully)

Well the title says it all really. I've found my replacement for work and she starts on Monday, then I finish in two weeks. Hopefully she'll pick things up quickly enough so I can spend the next two weeks just overseeing everything.

Had a fall again on Wednesday! This time I actually fell on my bump (Scary!!!), I was on my way to work and I just slipped. It really scared me, epople came running over to see if IO was alright, but I just got up and carried on going. The full extent of what had just happened hit me when I got to work a couple of minutes later, I'm rhesus negative blood group and because Chris is a positive blood group it's highly likely that the baby is a different blood group to me!!! This causes all sorts of issues some of which I don't understand, but if I have a severe knock or trauma that jolts me I have to get to hospital as my blood and the baby's blood could start mixing and this can cause problems. So I spent the day in hospital being monitored and having tests done. Everything seems fine now, I had a scan and baby has now turned and is head down, also the placenta has moved so I should be able to have a natural birth, which is excellent news!!!

I think the thing that upset me the most on wednesday was the fact that my mum and dad are in Basingstoke at the moment because my sister is in hospital as she has appendicitus (sp?) and Chris couldn't get away from work so I was pretty much on my own. Although I have to be very greatful for caring bosses as Carl my manager took me to the hospital and stayed with me till I was settled, so that was nice of him!!
